Run for Clean Water

As you read this, countless women and children in rural Kenya are walking, searching for water. The water they’ll manage to find is contaminated with animal faeces and is highly dangerous to consume. Yet they spend hours each day looking for it. Children are missing school and women are losing valuable time. Meanwhile, clean water could be right beneath them, deep underground.

The solution? Solar-powered water kiosks that bring clean water to the surface—and give women and children more time, energy, and better health. We install Maji solutions in the heart of communities, a short stroll away from villagers’ homes, cutting down water collection times by 90% while the consumption of clean water in the communities we serve has nearly fully eliminated water-borne diseases like diarrhoea (proven by our impact studies). Till date, we have served over 145,000 people in Ghana, Kenya and Uganda.
